The tee

                 The tee was mainly about food, I use brown tone color panel. The image I choose the teapot, the fork and spoon is the exercise I  practise with pen tool before. I think this tee is suitable for the staffs who working in the cafe. Cafe usually have cakes and tea, and therefore when the staff wearing it when working, they will have a bigger motivative.

Accordian Book

         This is the final project__Accordian book, I choose fresh grren and light green as the background color, and I talked something about myself in the book. I place some images and play with types. The type I use is Bauhaus 93.   I was quite satisfy with my final as we have only got a little time to work on it. The only concern is when I print out the final, the color was a bit difficult compare to the computer.  The color of  page 1,3,6,8 changed to yellow.



My Final of the Poster "Skeleton"

This is my final of my movie poster, it's call "Skeleton" and my favourite part is the row of bones under the title, it's the focal point and it's easy for people to know what's the film talks about.

I adjust the contrast, different value of the images and backgrouns, and then I start to think about how should I design the title and paragraphic. I use black color as the main color and make a rectangle bar to separate the two different  images.

I took the photos in the national history meseum last year, and the images I selected were suitable for my prehistoric  poster.

inspiration of my movie poster

In my first thought, I wanna do my poster in a  detective and  mytery. However, i cant find any suitable photo or resoures to fit my theme. Therefore, I look up on my facebook album and see if i can find any  inspiration, and finally  i decide to start my poster with a prehistoric background.

Play with my pattern

Here's two of my finals of mixing two different color together, I use the pen tools mostly. The upper one is more like a wild version as the bottom one is like a more peace and calm version.Personally, I love the first one more as I can really tell the contrast between two colors.

This is the pattern which I create, it groups by the letter J, can you see it?  I select two color the light yellow and white and brown color

My new background of the sheep characters

I worked more with the color guide on the background of my sheep characters, as the previous one was the shape and colorful. I want to make a contrast of the relationship between the charcters and the wall, the floor and ceiling. and now I felt more comfortable.

final sheep characters and backgound

                 The male character Joke is having and birthday party and his girlfriend Ginny made a lovely birthday cake for him. Moreover, he got a lot of gifts from his friends and he completely enjoys the party!

          I tried different tools and functions in the illustration, and I learned how to make shadow of my characters and 3-dimensional view of the gifts.

My process of my character

The character I'm going to create is a man who wear a sheep outfit, I search some images from the internet and I plan to make the sheep in a very fury way. And also, I'm going to try most of the tools in the illusration.

Myself

I’m crystal and I’m from Hong Kong, I came to U.S two years ago and I’m an international student. I'm majoring in graphic design but I love fine art a lot. The reason why I major in graphic design because I believe there will be more job opportunity for me when I under graduated. I hope to designing movie’s poster or packaging if I got the chance. In this semester, my biggest wish will be learning how to use illustrator and Photoshop well in order to success my dream.

Artistaday

In Artistaday, there’s a photographer and retouch artist called Erik Johansson who I appreciate a lot. By combing his own imagination and the photograph skill he got to make the unreal effectively real. When I saw his artwork, I got attracted by it immediately. It’s different from the other artworks I have ever seen before; it got its own style and personality. Most of the inspiration was from the things which surround us daily, we see it and what it is, but we never thought that it can be that playful. His works are all from his own imagination, its fun to be looking at and I smile every time I looked at it.
